To the right is the Metro Bowl of Crystal Lake, IL. Another fantastic Bowling Alley marquee, this sign sports both pin and ball. How can you pass up a few games of ten pin bowling after seeing this sign! The sign also appears to be in good condition.

The Bowlway is located in Elgin, Illinois and is still thriving. The sign on the front facade is a bit deco looking.

Not sure if the neon still works, though it appears to be in good condition.

Plaza Bowling
Celina OH

An example of the eye-catching signage of ten-pin alleys, the Plaza Bowling Lanes near Celina, Ohio sports the traditional pin and ball icon on top of its sign. At one point in the not so distant past, bowling alleys were found in just about every town and neighborhood. Times pass by and many of these bowling spots have been overrun by standard strip malls and fast food joints.

Although bowling alleys were a popular "hangout" in our not-so-distant past, many drop off the yellow pages each year. This ten pin alley in the Cleveland area, Golden Pin Bowling, has been closed for at least 3 years.
