When somebody asks me what my favorite neon sign is, I say Fielos Restaurant on Western Avenue in Chicago. This double sided sign was over 25 feet tall. Notice the maintenance ladder under the letter F, also ladder rungs can be seen on the left side of the word "Restaurant". Fielos had undergone many owners over the years and in 2005 the sign was taken down. The business now operates under a new name. 06-07

Berghoff Restaurant

Located just a few blocks from the Sears Tower in Chicago is this historic gem called The Berghoff Restaurant. The Berghoff dates back to 1898 when the place opened as the Berghoff Cafe after the founder's new brew of Berghoff Beer met with success along the Midway at the Chicago World's Fair of 1893.

Reno Corsi Restaurant

The Reno Corsi Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge stood abandoned for many years. In 2005, the neon sign was removed. A Sports Bar is the building's latest tenant. 07-07
