The Tip Top Motel's marquee shines along the roadside. This motel's marquee looks "tip top."
Check out this shot of the Park Avenue Motel in Illinois. An interesting marquee, with the woman with poodle image on the side.
The Lincoln Motel in Chicago, IL features a marquee that stands out at night with its neon all lit up. 10-04
Here's a shot of the Patio Motel marquee all lit up. The Patio advertises its them of "an adventure in living." Hopefully, it's a good adventure. 10-04
The blue neon blinks on and off on the marquee for the Winesburg Motel in Clyde, OH. 03-07
The Gateway Motel celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2004. To celebrate, the owners had new landscaping added in front and removed this classic neon sign. A plain and simple backlit plastic sign with advertising space underneath was erected on the opposite side of the property. Except for some minor fading in the paint, the neon sign was in perfect working order when it was taken down. 04-07
The neon lit marquee for the Belvedere Motel was located in Cairo, IL. 06-07
The Coral Court Motel was once of Route 66's finest motel treasures. Unfortunately, the Coral Court on Watson Avenue in St Louis was demolished several years ago. 06-07
The Hart Motel in Marion, IN was memorable in that its neon marquee was multicolored and featured a snaking arrow. Unfortunately, this sign, like many others in Marion, has been removed. 06-07
The Federal Sign Company created this Arabian themed sign for the Tangiers Motels located in Chicago on Archer Avenue. Notice the " Fire Proof " notation on the bottom of the sign. 06-07
