The Brookside Motel stands tall in Columbus, OH with its eye catching reddish, pink, and yellow marquee. Star's Motel Wow, free television at a motel. Get treated like a star at The Stars Motel in Chicago. UPDATE 09/06 : The Stars Motel on Lincoln Avenue is in the process of being demolished for new condo development. Thanks to the concern by the new developer over saving this sign, the sign was placed on eBay and sold for about a hundred dollars. The sign was purchased with plans to install it in a clothing store on Armitage Avenue in Chicago. Many thanks to Scott Schiller for update. 09-06
The Capital Motel features lodging inside and near its marquee. Not sure if the sofa behind the tree is a recliner, though. Heart O Chicago Motel An eye-catching sign in its own right, the Heart O Chicago Motel features red, white, and blue colors just in time for Independence Day.

Probably one of the last mid-century/roadside style hotels still left standing in the Chicago Loop District, the Ohio House Motel even features a coffee shop within the complex.
