The San Bar Motel is another roadside motel found in St Ignace, MI. The motel is open and close enough to downtown to do good business. It appear to be a nice place. 12-08
The Riviera Motel is one of the remaining motels and signs that has made it through some difficult weather and times. The old sign at the Riviera still shows the "color" part of the color TV reference in the marquee. 12-08
The Cedars Motel is one of the St Ignace motels that is still open and looking very nice. 12-08
Check out this roadside motel sign for the Vitek's Motel. The colors at the top of the sign are what heads swivel as folks drive by the motel. Not sure what the reference to "tokens" on sign are for. Are they referring to the mattresses? 12-08
The Star Motel features a marquee with character. Located in Manistique, MI, the star shows off its roadside sign while still advertising current amenities like free internet. 12-08
Here's a shot of the Straits View Motel. While not quite the old mid-century sign type that's been disappearing in recent years. the Straits View features a marquee that is scenic, or at least tries to be by the looks of the bridge scene at the top of the sign. The Straits View is located in St Ignace, MI. 12-08
Here's another roadside motel found along the route to Manistique. The Valley Motel is still in business featuring somewhat low rates for two. 12-08
Here's the Holiday Motel, also found in the town of Manistique, MI. The Holiday welcomes roadside travelers off of the main route. 12-08
The Four Star Motel features a marquee that is somewhat distinctive with its neon stars and lettering. The Four Star markets off the high gas prices of mid-2008 with its saying "gas is expensive we are not:. 12-08
Check out this motel sign out front of the Colonial Motel in the Michigan town of Manistique. 12-08
