Next door to the Saranay Motel is this old roadside motel called the Seville Motel. This motel had two floors of rooms. Unfortunately, the Seville marquee is no longer around, having been replaced by a backlit plastic sign. Fortunately, the great looking Bonneville under the marquee is still around. 01-07

Along Woodward Avenue was this roadside shot of a couple of motels and an eatery. Marty's Grill (left side of photo) was located next to the now defunct Seville Motel. To the right is the familiar marquee of the Saranay Motel. 01-07

This dreamy scene was captured at the Powhatan Motel and Restaurant in the Midwest town of Pocahontas, IN. Pictured here is the restaurant building as well as a couple of playground items and a small teepee. 03-07

Gateway Motel

The Gateway Motel celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2004. To celebrate, the owners had new landscaping added in front and removed a classic neon sign. A plain and simple backlit plastic sign with advertising space underneath (shown here) was erected on the opposite side of the property. Except for some minor fading in the paint, the neon sign was in perfect working order when it was taken down. 04-07

Belvedere Motel

This treasure of a motel sign called the Belvedere Motel was found in Cairo, IL and still lights up the roadside at night. 06-07

Effingham Motel
