What was that? Oz never did nothing for the Tin Man? Well, looks like the tin man is relegated to holding up a sign for the a heating company. So much for Toto.

Clubhouse Mouse
Kenosha, WI

Back in the 70's, this place was a super-club on it's last legs. It then turned into "The Clubhouse" in the 90's when a dog track opened nearby. Now defunct, the large mouse still remains perched on the roof.

Travelers passing through the Michigan town of Christmas will (appropriately enough) pass by this cheery and rather large Santa Claus character off the road.

According to this website, this Santa is claimed by Santa's Workshop to be the world's tallest Santa. Christmas, MI was given its name after a 1939 roadside factory that made holiday gift items for a short period of time. 05-09

Just in time for Independence Day, check out the huge Uncle Sam found in Ottawa Lake, MI. According to Preserve America, the Uncle Sam statue was restored on July 2, 2001 by Hampton Hotel volunteers after being out in the air for 40 years. This led to Preserve America bestowing a Presidential Award to Hampton Hotel for this and other efforts. 07-09

(Near right) The giant Uncle Sam giving the thumbs up as he stands on this platform next to this fireworks stand

(Far right) A close up look at the Uncle Sam and appropriate red, white, and blue paint as he gets ready to go out for another 4th of July celebration

Detroit, MI

Here's the familiar Tubby's sandwich guy in downtown Detroit. Now that Tubby's closed, Home Run Subs has taken its place. 11-09
