Check out the Strand Theatre, located in Sturgis, MI. The Strand still feature an intact blade sign, that may or may not be neon these days. Check out the front marquee with a design popular with the theatres of the same era. 02-08


Star Theatre
Hannibal, MO

The Star Theatre is located on South Main in Hannibal, MO. The theatre was built in 1906 and according to the Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been restored its original luster. The theatre shows classic movies on a nightly basis and is open as a dinner and movie theatre with a signing and dancing wait staff. 07-08


Planters Barn Theatre
Hannibal, MO

The Planters Barn Theatre is a historic site from the Mark Twain stories is located in Hannibal, MO. The theatre from 1849 is still going strong. 07-08


Birmingham Theatre

The Birmingham Theatre is a old movie palace first built in 1927. Originally set up as a single screener, the Birmingham is now called the Birmingham 8, referencing the 8 theatres that is now housed inside. More info at the Birmingham 8 website. 08-08


Civic Theatre
Farmington, MI

The Civic Theatre opened up in the 1940's and is still entertainment the public in Farmington, MI. See the Farmington Civic Theatre website for more information. 08-08


Washington Theatre
Quincy, IN

Quincy, IN is home to this old historic theatre called the Washington Theatre. The theatre opened its doors on June 19, 1924 as a vaudeville theatre then became a movie theatre almost half a century later in 1971.

In 1982, the theatre closed down and became at risk. More recently, thanks in part to the Friends of the Washington Theater, this historic building may once again entertain the public. Royal Oak Music Theatre
Royal Oak, MI
