Open since 1928, The Varsity is a good greasy spoon of a drive-in eatery in the Atlanta, GA area. Located near the Georgia Tech campus, The Varsity and its neon front entrance is a welcome sight to many a hungry belly.

Here's a neon shot of the Air Devils Inn in Louisville, KY. Opened for business since 1934, the Air Devils is a bar serving up drinks and original music bands. Word is that the Air Devils was also once a school back in the day.

Here's Corky's Bar-B-Q. Pulled pork, wet or dry ribs. They even ship to most any location via Federal Express. I have a friend who lives in Grand Forks, ND. He orders from them several times a year. 07-06

Oglethorpe Lounge

This sign for Carling Black Label Beer is located in Albany, GA hanging above the Oglethorpe Lounge on Oglethorpe Boulevard. The bar (lounge) is the oldest in town dating back to the 1950's. Current owner is Jimmy Pike, who purchased the bar in 1996. A beer distributor once told a previous owner that only 2 Black Label signs still existed in the US, but this has not been verified. 08-06

This is a longtime Maryland Fried Chicken location on N. Slappey Blvd in Albany, GA.  The current owner has decked the place inside and out in a "hippy" fashion.  We have 3 Maryland chains in Albany, but this one is very unique. 09-06

Here's a neon shot of the longtime Krispy Kreme store (long before it was a well-known company) located at the corner of Pine Ave. and Slappey Blvd. The old sign has been replaced, but the KK crown still sits on top of the building. 09-06
