The Wigwam Village in Cave City, KY features a fantastic neon marquee out front. Not to mention the rarity of seeing a motel with rooms in the shape of a tee pee.
Check out the marquee for the Catalina Motel in Lexington, KY. This tall sign points the way to the motel itself.
As you enter Savannah from I-95, you'll be greeted by the Thunderbird Motel. The Thunderbird Motel is conveniently located about a block from the Greyhound Bus Station.
This old sign sits outside of the Breaux's Motel in Boutte, LA. Looks like the neon has been stripped off of this marquee, which was probably quite a sight in its heyday.
The Sunset Motel in Lexington appears to be an old motor court, complete with rooftop lettering. 10-05
Next to Graceland is the Heartbreak Hotel in Memphis Tennessee. This is a roadside lodging place that is riding the Elvis nostalgia wave.
Check out the marquee for the Loveless Motel and Cafe in Nashville, TN. The Loveless opened in 1951 and served up its first plate of its famous fried chicken. Recently restored, the Loveless is a Nashville landmark.

The Wind Mill Motel is still open for business in Nicholasville, KY despite it rather faded marquee. Actually, it appears that the rectangular sign above was made at a different date than the faded out lower one. 10-05

Lexington is home to another faded out motel sign. Check out this rusted out marquee outside of The Kimball Moore Motel. 10-05
