The Big Peach in Gaffney, South Carolina was built in 1981. It holds one million gallons of water. The leaf on the left side is 60 feet long and weighs seven tons. You can see the sheer enormity of this thing in perspective to the car. The tower looks more like a big butt in the sky than a peach. That, combined with a spout that protrudes out at the bottom of the crack has made people refer to it as the "Peachoid". UPDATE 01/08 : Here's another shot of the Big Peach in Gaffney, SC. This location is now a tattoo parlor in the suburbs of Savannah, GA. Check out this huge thing that looks like a giant bowling ball or marble. The giant orb was built by a Star Trek fan.

These Black Bears can be found in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Check out the large teeth on this big animal figures out front of this shop.
This roadside icon features a crown to the world's largest peanut. This peanut delight was erected in 1975 and has been a Georgia icon ever since. 06-06
This roadside Arrowhead Monument marks the location of an Army outpost of the 1700's in Old Fort, NC along U.S. 70 at the gate of the Appalachian Mountains. 08-06
