This air conditioned place saying Dine at Kolbe can be found in New Orleans. The sign may be a bit weatherbeaten, lending to its aura of authenticity.
Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee is home of the Dollywood Amusement Park. Dolly Parton herself guarantees you'll have a great time. This little town in the heart of the Smokey Mountains is a nice place to visit for the entire family.
The Cherokee Trader is one of many trading posts around Cherokee selling "genuine" Indian artifacts and gifts. On such post has a live rooster that will come out and eat food dispensed from an automatic feeder for a small price. (Many thanks to Kevin Powers for above info)
Check out this fantastic sign outside of Walker Radiator Worksin Memphis, TN. Somewhat resembling the famous Clayton Plumbing signs,
the neon sign shows a big drip. UPDATE 05/08 : The Walker Radiator Works neon sign is still in great working condition. According to Vernon Walker Sr. who also had a wealth of knowledge about the birth of the Memphis music legends that came out of Sun Studios, his Dad started the Walker Radiator Works in 1932. How about this old sign for this General Electric Appliances store. Located in Hodgenville, KY, this old sign carries the old General Electric emblem. Not sure if the red tubing around the GE is still good neon.
Here's an interesting sign found off the main highway in Meridian. This sign for Red Hot is located in a vacant lot. No idea what type of business used to be here.
Here's a large sign advertising Granite Lake in Granite Quarry, NC. This swimming hole hasn't been open for a few years.
This fishy sign for Boyette's Fish Camp is somewhat hidden off the road in Chunky, MS.
This old streamline sign still remains intact outside the Falls City Theatre Equipment Co. in Louisville, KY.
