Located in downtown Bakersfield, this historical Kress building still features the blade neon sign as it looked back in the day. This building looks like its ready to open for business in the morning to a horde of new Kress shoppers.

You can't have a downtown without a Woolworth's. Well, at least that was the case decades ago. Here's an old Woolworth's store that is now home to an antique center. This store still has an intact Woolworth's luncheonette area. Check out the lettering and colors that were famous for this department store of yesteryear.
