Here's what appeared to be a historic arch located in Bakersfield, CA. It turns out that the sign itself is relatively new as it spans Buck Owens Boulevard, although the lettering is from the original arch that used to be located along Highway 99 along Union Avenue and California next to the Bakersfield Inn. The original arch had been built in 1949 but was removed due to concerns about its structural performance in an earthquake. 12-08
