The Astro Motel in Santa Rosa is a fine vintage roadside example of the Astro motel chain that used to dot many towns. This one still lights up well at night.
Here's the Modern Motor Lodge with its deco marquee. It's an throwback to an earlier era and its old unique sign is refreshing.
Here's an old rooftop sign for the Robert's Motel. Unfortunately the neon no longer works.
The Stardust Motel features a googie style marquee with a rather prominent starburst.

Check out this fantastic sign from San Mateo, CA. The Algiers Motel marquee and its great detail was designed by sign designer Eugene Maillet of Sunnyvale.
The Villa Motel in San Mateo has a large car port area for walkway guests, approximating a crude spaceport.
The El Rancho Motel off the 99 features a vintage sign with a zig zag type of arrow.
