This old porcelain sign sits in front of the Rio Motel in Oakland. Advertising sheltered parking, this motel sign points the way in.
Here's a vintage sign for the Vista Motel. The rust colors scream of the mid-century past.
The Lake Marina Motel advertises its brand both with its red white and blue marquee and lettering along side the motel.
Not sure if this indeed located in Northern California, but the colors do fit. The Lark Motel has a vintage marquee that's still in great shape.
Here are a couple of views of the Pepperwood Motel in Willits, CA. This motel advertises with the slogan "just like home." With color TV this motel features all the amenities... of the 70's.
The Redmen Lodge in Stockton may be a motel.... then again, it may be a lodge like an Elk's lodge. The jury's out.
The 20 Oaks Court features a marquee that still contains working neon.
Here's a close-up shot of the Thunderbird Motel marquee, located about a block away from 395. This motel sign also look great at night.
The Third St. Motel in Sacramento is one of the old motor courts with signage that can't be read and old bungalow style lodging.
