Here's a shot of the marquee for the Arden Motel in Sacramento. The sign for this motel is starting to be covered by the brush nearby.
Traveling along the old road in West Sacramento brings you to the Flamingo Motel and its flaming themed marquee. Unfortunately this sign has now been replaced by back lit plastic a few years ago. Another roadside sign has been relegated to a memory.

This old reddish and fading sign also sits alongside this street in Belmont, CA. The neon on this sign is in sad shape as the marquee for the Kingsway Motel has seen better days.
The Travel Inn Motel still sports its old sign alongside this roadway in Belmont, CA.
The Pacific Motel was the first motel encountered along this old highway. It's a shame that this motel marquee was removed.
Along the old highway in Sacramento was this batch of old motels. Unfortunately, time caught up to them and the whole stretch was leveled. Seen here are the Pacific, Ritz, and Rolling Green motels.
