Here's a shot of the Coral Reef Motel on Fulton Avenue, in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento. It is of the Tiki theme. Unfortunately it too was torn down recently. 06-07
The Town House Motel off of Highway 395 in Bishop features a marquee with a big ol' yellow swooping arrow. 09-08
A roadside motel like this sure beats those nearby chain motels, completely devoid of character. 02-09 Capri Motel postcard image
The Experience Lodge is a familiar sight for those that traveled along old West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento. One of the first motels around the corner after heading west over the bridge, The Experience Lodge was known as a seedy place with a great sign. Unfortunately for roadside fans, the motel was closed and eventually demolished in April 2008. See more photos and get more information on this former West Sacramento motel legend at Roadside Peek's Lost Treasures - The Experience Motel. 03-09
