This old faded marquee for the Hotel Oliver in Santa Rosa still sits outside the building.
Check out the old Van Hotel in Willits, still with its old marquee in good shape.
Here's another old hotel... the Rio Vista in the city by the same name. It's sign still proudly stand out along the streetside.
The Harrison Hotel in Oakland and its sign looks a bit weatherbeaten these days. Imagine what this blade neon sign looked like back in its heyday.
The Menlo Hotel still stands with its cursive script advertising the hotel. These letters adorning the side of this hotel look like they were once neon.
This old hotel is the Hotel Terry in Stockton.
To the right are a couple of the signs outside of the Touraine Hotel. This Oakland hotel looks like its seen better days. (Far right) Check out the faded out neon sign
This eye-catching rooftop sign is found at the Hill Castle Apartment Hotel in Oakland. These rooftop signs on deco buildings were all the rage in the pre-war years.
UPDATE 11/10 : The Hill Castle apartments is located in a historic area of Oakland called The Gold Coast. Word is this place was a fancy hotel back in the day. See this blog for more info. Many thanks to Scott Broadhurst for photo and update. 11-10
