Not sure what kind of business this is, though the sign for Gino and Carlo lights up the sky in San Francisco.
Safeway (formerly Futurama Bowl) Here's the neon sign for the former Futurama Bowl that used to grace San Jose. Fortunately, Safeway made adept use of the marquee rather than removing this huge and classic sign.
Here's a nice eerie shot of American Ice Co. in Sacramento. Who knows who lurks beyond that door? Whoooo....

This Wonder Bread building and its very noticeable neon lettering has been a familiar roadside sight for travelers passing through on the freeway.

Traveling out of Santa Clara to San Jose will bring you to this blissful neon sight. The sight of the Western Appliance sign in full neon. It's hard to miss this one.

UPDATE 10/08 : The Stephen's Meat Products building was razed over in November 2007. In 2005, San Jose's redevelopment agency parcels of land occupied by Stephen's for a future baseball stadium. The site is now a 140-space parking lot. 10-08
