Liquor Store Here are a couple of liquor stores sporting fully working neon signs in the Northern California area. With the neon glow working in these areas, the marquees catch the attention of travelers passing through. 10-09
Here's a towering marquee at the Moraga Center in town of the same name. From the looks of the sign, it appears to date back several decades though the lettering is most likely of recent vintage. 10-09
Check out the neon letters at the Connell Cadillac and Buick, formerly Connell Oldsmobile back when that brand was still around. The place is now called Bay Bridge Auto Center with multi GMC brands now sold at the dealership. 10-09
The Bras and Mattos Monument Company has been in the memorial design business since 1897. The marquee appears to date back several decades. 10-09
Check out this neon sign at the Valente Marini Perata & Co. Funeral Directors (VMP & Co.). VMP was established in 1888 and has been at its present location in the Excelsior District since 1928. 10-09
The sign spelling out "lumber" in bright red neon is found in San Leandro, CA. 10-09
Bank of Stockton This other blade sign is for the Bank of Stockton located in Stockton, CA. 10-09
This old Firestone sign is found at this service shop in Livermore, CA. 10-09
This old time pool hall is located off Main Street in Pleasanton. Check out the Pastime Pool sign as the sun goes down for another evening of fun. 10-09
