This old theatre is the Fairfax Theatre, located in
Oakland. Actually, this was a theatre once upon a time.

The Towne Theatre appears to still be open for business
near downtown San Jose. At the time this photos was taken, the theatre
was showing an IMCS center.

The Stamm Theatre in Antioch, CA looks like a carefully
preserved deco theater. Not sure if this theatre is open or closed.
Far left - A close up of the Stamm's blade marquee.
Near left - a shot of the patterns on the front facade.

To the near right the Jose
Theatre in San Jose, going through a rehab stint back a few years
ago.
To the far right is the fruit of the San Jose City Council's efforts.
The Jose Theatre is now open and housing the Improv. Best of all, the
neon on this theatre also works.
Fox California Theatre

To the far right is the Fox
California Theatre prior to the huge restoration effort that took
place the last several years. Not sure if the lettering on the marquee
was wishful thinking or something that was a sure bet.
To the near right is what the Fox California looks like today. The blade
neon has been placed back on the front facade and the theatre has never
looked better, even serving as a church.

Here's a shot of the historic Fox
California Theatre in Stockton. At the time this photo was taken,
the Fox California theatre was closed and awaiting support for renovation.
In 1994, the theatre was renamed the Bob Hope Theatre, and at this moment
the theatre is going strong.
