UPDATE 09/10 : Jack's Salad Bowl is history. Gone. Demolished. Jack's Salad Bowl in Whittier, CA has been a Whittier Blvd landmark for decades. in 2006, Jack's closed and was being remodeled into a Mexican restaurant. The bulldozers came last week and all that's left is an fenced off lot of rubble. 09-10
Here's something new. The Norm's marquee for the La Cienega location is all lit up now.
Here's a nice shot of Goody's at night. The orange paint of the marquee gives the whole sign an overall glowing effect.
UPDATE 09/10 : Goody's closed down the San Gabriel location in January 2010 and has since moved to El Monte. 09-10
Ships is an institution among the classic coffee shops. However, unfortunately the last Ships went down in the mid-90's. From the jet set arrow to googie coffee shop architecture, Ships Coffee Shops were a classic example of the space age look.
The Apple Pan features a great looking neon sign in front of a restaurant that been around the area for about 50 years. This is a burger joint that has made its mark on L.A. residents for years.
The Hot n' Tot Grill features fine food and an impressive neon sign out front. Locals rave that this food has been good for many years.
