Here's a shot of the Samoa Motel off Katella in Anaheim. There used to be a tiki out front, but it has since been removed.

UPDATE 07/08 : Around 2003, the Samoa changed the name to the Fantasy Inn and took down the neon sign. A couple years ago, when they became part of the America's Best Value Chain, they stuccoed over the rockcrete out front and cut down the tropical foliage inside. Now it looks like a boring old Motel 6 type of a place with nothing to indicate its tiki pedigree. Many thanks to Matthew Yates for update. 08/07
