The New Bay Motel in Los Angeles features colors on its sign that date back a few decades. 04-06
The New Raywood Motel features an old motel sign with dried out lettering and one of those arrows that uses bulbs to light the way. 04-06

How about this sign for the All Nations Motel. Located in Inglewood, CA, the All Nations marquee looks like it dates back to the mid-century. The faded out paint only add to the effect. 04-06
Here are a couple of roadside motels in Hollywood that still feature signage that remind one of Hollywood's roadside yesteryear. The Downtowner Motel had its marquee recently redone. It appears that the starbursts still light up and the many little bulbs that spell out "motel" are still in good shape.

The Star Light Motel in Inglewood features both a sign and a building that are throwbacks to the days when the old roadside motels were a standard for those that needed a place to rest. 04-06
Check out the Palms Apartments and its huge palm atop its marquee. This place looks like it was a motel not too long ago. 04-06
Here's the Atlantic Boulevard Motel in Long Beach and its faded out sign. 04-06
This Rick's Motel sign is a familiar sight to see as you cruise along busy Firestone Boulevard in Downey. At least, the sign used to be familiar. The Rick's Motel sign was removed a couple of years ago. 04-06
