The NuWilshire Theatre in Santa Monica is an art deco theatre dating back to the 1930's. The theatre closed down in late 2007. 12-07
(Below) The Wescove Cinemas in West Covina was a neighborhood favorite for many years, especially back in the 80's. The Wescove featured three screens and eventually closed in the late 1990's. After remaining vacant for years, the theatre was demolished in 2006. 04-08

Here's a shot of the neon sign on the Olympic Theatre on Eight Street in Los Angeles. Since this sign photo was taken in 2007, the marquee was covered with with a "for sale" sign and now has been painted a solid black.
