This interesting photo of the Savoy Motor Lodge features multiple lighthouses in the background. No, it's actually a parking lot. Makes for a rather nice effect on a rather nice sign. UPDATE 12/08 : The city of Reno continues to modernize and mow down the cute little Route 66 type motels. All that is left of the Savoy Motor Lodge is this sign. Not sure why they didn't take it down, perhaps some collector wanted it. Many thanks to Dan MacPherson for update. 12-08

Thunderbird Motel Motels by the name of Thunderbird are usually showstoppers and this one in Reno is no exception. From the multicolored blocks of lettering to the colorful neon tail, this neon treasure lights up the sky along Virginia St.
The Star Dust Lodge welcomes you to quiet. It also features direct dial.
Mizpah Hotel The Mizpah Hotel neon sign proves to be a beacon to its residents that have lost their way.
The Reno Motel marquee proves to be a colorful sight at night.
Sands Motel The Sands Motel uses script that proves a flashback to its fancier predecessor that used to be in Vegas.
The Lucky Motel still lights up the sky in Nevada.
The lit up lettering for the Lido Inn in Reno stands out at night, even with the neon glow of signs nearby.
