The Cozy Motel's marquee appears to glow alongside the end of the main drag in Winnemucca.
The Covered Wagon Motel's neon still shines in he entranceway and along the side of the motel building itself as it advertises its vacancies.
The Ponderosa Motel is a familiar site as you enter or leave town along Virginia Blvd. This huge neon pine tree is a welcome sight after a long tiring journey. Unfortunately, this sign has been replaced by a large rectangle tower sign that seems to be all the rage at casino hotels these days.
Here's a shot of the Silver State Lodge in Reno and its sign all lit up at night. Unfortunately, the Silver State has closed down and has met its fate with a bulldozer. See more information here at Roadside Peek's Lost Treasures section on the Silver State Lodge. 10-05
Here's a shot of the Rancho Sierra Motel which shows the contrast of old neon and new quasi-neon (the white), which is actually another gas. The old neon has a softer look to it. 10-05
Sharon Motel Update 03/08 : (Far right) Here's another shot of the Sharon Motel neon sign, one of the few left that still glow in Wells. 03-08
Check out this night shot of the Ranch House Motel marquee, located in Yerington, NV. Unfortunately, according to the December 22, 2006 edition of the Reno Gazette-Journal, the Ranch House Motel was torn down in mid-December 2006 after being purchased by the developer of the nearby commercial and residential project. The motel was originally built in 1952. 01-07
