Starlite Motel

The Starlite Motel is another star-themed motel that's found in North Las Vegas.

UPDATE 05/09 : To the far right is an updated photo of the Starlite Motel in North Las Vegas. The Starlight is one of the last remaining roadside motels that still appear to serve traditional motel lodging in the area. The Starlite also still features its great marquee, which still lights up the Vegas roadside at night. Many thanks to Lee Salawitch for updated photo. 05-09

Strip 91 Motel

The Strip 91 Motel is a fun looking place to look at.

UPDATE 05/03 : About 40-50 years ago, before the age of Interstate Freeways, back when Route 66 was still the main thoroughfare, the main route through Las Vegas was Route 91. So the name of the motel may be referencing the old route through Vegas. Many thanks to Phleck for update. 05-03

Here's the Vegas Chalet Motel marquee, at least the way it used to look when it hovered above the busy intersection. Unfortunately, this sign was removed and replaced with nondescript signage several years ago. 12-08

Hitchin' Post Motel

Check out this rustic looking sign for the Hitchin' Post Motel, located off the main drag in North Las Vegas. While many of the old signs are disappearing in the area, this marquee still stands.

The Hitchin' Post appears to have turned into a RV Park in recent years, while still having a saloon and restaurant in the complex. 12-08

Har-Lee's Motel (Demolished)

Har-Lee's Motel was located near the Vegas Chalet Motel in North Las Vegas. In recent years, Har-Lee's was demolished and replaced with a small strip center of stores. 12-08

Dixie Motel

The Dixie Motel is still in business in North Las Vegas, though the place appears to be catering to long-term lodging these days. The Dixie marquee still stands tall along North Las Vegas Boulevard despite the traffic around. 05-09
