UPDATE 09/10 : Demolition began on the Lasso Motel in December 2009. The demolition was captured on these YouTube videos, culminating with a video of the empty lot in February 2010. 09-10

Tucumcari, NM is the home to the Safari Motel and this classic sign. The Safari Motel was built in the 1950's. According to YourHub.com, the motel was purchased by Smalltown America in December 2007 and is being restored. The motel is partially open now and will be fully open in June 2008 with rooms available for a fitting $66 a night. 03-07
