First built in 1887, the Fort Worth Stockyards has housed thousands of cattle, hogs, and sheep in its time. Today, The Fort Worth Stockyards Historic District is home to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. More info can be found on the Fort Worth Stockyards website. The Stockyards are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 02-07
Here's the City Hall building located in the town of Hillsboro, TX. It appears that this was the original city hall that was constructed in 1909, which has not been verified. If this is the original, there used to be an attached police and fire station. More information about Hillsboro can be found here. 02-07
Here's the train depot in Tulia, TX. The Tulia Depot was built in 1918 and closed in 1984. The city acquiring the depot when Santa Fe was in the midst of demolishing the structure. See more information here. 03-07
Check out the Waxahachie Train Depot in the city by the same name in Texas. There were two depots almost side by side which was unusual for town this size. 03-07
Waco, TX is home to the Dr Pepper Museum, housed in a historic building. The museum is located in the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building in downtown Waco, which was the first building to be built for the purposes of bottling Dr Pepper. The Dr Pepper was bottled at this location from 1906 until the 1960's. More info located here. The The building was donated by the Dr Pepper Company to a non-profit group in 1988 and the museum opened in May 1991. The museum is currently home the W.W. Clements Free Enterprise Institute. The Stewart Building is a memorable building located in downtown Galveston, TX. The building was originally built in the 1880's. 09-08
The historic Hutchings Sealy Building was built in the late 19th Century and was a part of Galveston's well known "Wall Street" back in the day. Today, the two buildings are occupied by restaurants and shops. 09-08
The Tremont House is a Wyndham Historic Hotel located in Galveston, TX. Built in 1879, the Tremont is located in the middle of the Strand District. 09-08
The Bishop's Palace in Galveston, TX is one of the most well known historic structures in the area. The palace, also known as Gresham's Castle, is a Victorian home built in the late 19th century. This church was deemed a Texas Historic Landmark in 1967. 09-08
