Here's an old movie theater that's still open in San Antonio, TX. The Broadway Theatre is located near Alamo Heights and still features the vertical blade marquee. UPDATE 10/06 : The Broadway Theatre appears to be used for something other than a theatre these days. 10-06
UPDATE 10/06 : The Alameda Theatre's marquee displayed "Mexican Movies of the US" so apparently there is some life at the old cinema. Unfortunately, nothing appeared to be going on at night so the neon was not lit. 10-06
Here's a former theatre in Denton, TX that now displays Fine Arts on its marquee. Not sure what theatre used to be here.
The Campus Theatre in Denton, TX still features an eye-catching blade marquee on the theatre front. The Campus was once a movie house and first opened up for patrons in 1949. In 1985, the Campus was closed and became vacant until its grand re-opening in 1995. Please see the Campus Theatre website for more information.
Built around 1915, the Paramount Theatre still shows performances sporadically. The Paramount is located next to the State Theatre on Congress Ave near the State Capitol. 10-06
Here's the Woodlawn Theatre, built in 1946. The theatre is apparently going through some type of restoration. 10-06
Check out the Aztec Theatre, found just near the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The blade neon as well as the neon over the front door was in great shape and blazing both day and night. There some sort of free show being offered there in the daytime. From the looks of the front lobby, any restoration going on at the Aztec is going well. 10-06
