Jennie's Diner off of Route 30 in Ronks is still in business. The rather large diner sign is a real eye-catcher off the roadside.

Pelican Diner

To the right is a pre-automobile era diner that somehow survived into the 1980s (at least). It's the Pelican Diner in Somerset, PA., ca 1985. Despite appearances, it was open for business when the photo was taken.

This was a rare survivor of an original early-twentieth century diner converted from an old wooden-body railroad car. They had a sign inside saying the car was originally built by Jackson & Sharp Car Co of Wilmington, DE in 1906. It may have been converted into a diner in the 20's.

It was located near the Chessie System/B&O (now CSX) railroad yard in Somerset and was patronized by the RR crews.

Here's the Club Diner of Bellmawr, NJ with it neon lettering all lit up. This diner was rolled into place and has been serving food since the early 1970's.

Roadside Diner

Old diner on Route 34 in Collingwood, NJ. This diner was built in 1950 and is still in operation as the Roadside Diner.

White Mana Diner
Jersey City, NJ

Located in the Jersey City area is this famous old diner. The White Mana Diner still has signs from the 1939 World’s Fair and great burgers.

Summit Diner
Summit, NJ

The Summit Diner is right off the main street in downtown Summit. It still serves the locals today. The Summit Diner is a O'Mahony with wood paneled walls which dates back to the late 1930's.
