Here's the blade marquee for the Strand Theatre in Rockland, ME. According to the Strand Theatre website, the theatre has been in business since 1923 and underwent a historic restoration in 2004-2005, including updating with new sound and projection equipment. The Strand, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is home to both film and stage p productions. 09-10
The Shore Theatre is a well known building in Coney Island. Built in 1925, the Shore was originally known by the community as Loew's Coney Island, serving up both movie and vaudeville entertainment. Like many of the businesses in the area, the Shore closed in 1973 and has been vacant since. See the Save Coney Island website for more information. 09-10
