When you stop in the Palm Spring/Palm Desert what do you normally think

has been in business many a year serving up fresh dates, Shields Dates The Shields is still attracting travelers. I remember as a kid seeing "the sex life of the date" here. Theyre still running it. 06-06
Zowee... it's.. it's .. an elephant! Rancho Super Car Wash off of Palm Desert Highway in Rancho Mirage to be exact. This classic car wash came under fire by the Rancho Mirage City Council a few years back, but public outcry saved it. It remains intact and operational and is a true local landmark. Many thanks to Ralph Squillace for the info on this car wash landmark. Check out one of this elephant's siblings at Roadside Peek's Pacific Northwest Signage.
Check out the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Indio. Still features the greyhound on top of its marquee.
While in passing through the Indio town, stop for a couple bowling games at the Desert Bowl. Not interested in the ten pin alley. Then shoot a game of pool.
Valerie Jean Dates Here's the Valerie Jean Dates sign in Palm Desert. The elaborate neon is all gone but the memories live on. iI guess they embraced the old signage as we all did. 06-06
Jensens Gardens This old roadside location is for Jensens Gardens in the Palm Springs area. 06-06
Rubens Transmission
