At the left is a good lookin' vintage sign for Arc Tel Welding in Fairfield,
CA. Looks like a giant arrow that got rooted into the ground.

This shoe sign is representative of the type of roadside advertisement
that used to be quite prevalent along the roadside.
Milk Farm
Dixon, CA Photo courtesy Dave & Debra van Hulsteyn
The Milk Farm in Dixon went out of business in 1984 and was demolished
about two years ago in early 2000. All that remains are the tall
sign and the smaller sign that used to sit on top of the building. It's
now sitting out in a pasture across the road.

(Near left) The run down area around the Milk Farm
The tall sign is supposedly getting its neon redone, and will be part
of some 'Milk Farm Business Complex'. What ever it is that it's turning
into, it won't have short stacks or two eggs any style. At
least the sign will light up again some day. Many thanks to Dave & Debra van Hulsteyn for photos and info.
UPDATE 12/10 : Here's a close up shot of the Milk Farm marquee and the detail of the cow jumping over the moon. 12-10

Not sure what's come of this old sign, but the Villa Trailer
Park used to be a real eye-catcher.
