| 2002
was an active year in terms of preservation. From the carnage at Johnie's
Broiler to the closing of Hollywood Star Lanes, it was at times a
forgettable one. |

was an interesting year. From the first word that Santa Claus in Carpinteria
was endangered to the destruction of the Kahiki Supper Club in Columbus,
Ohio, 2000 was a significant year. |
