Roadside Characters | Roadside Bears | Roadside Icons Main Check out the following Auto Bears. These bears have been found throughout Southern California, thanks in large part to the fantastic sleuthing of Georg Balandran. Below are a few Bolles Bear Service Inc. bears found around town.
Chet's Transmissions features a hearty bear that looks like he's very happy to see you as you pull up.
This roadside bear for Boulevard Brakes looks rather lonely as he smiles at the cars that pass by this corner. For some reason, he appears to be rather detached from the sign itself.
Check out Vodie's in Santa Ana. He's a rather pink looking fellow.
This bear sign contains just an image of the bear. Not sure what happened to the real bear figurine.
This sign for B&D Brakes stands tall along this busy boulevard. This bear looks especially happy as it holds up its sign.
This roadside bear sits near the Modern Day Auto service center. It's good to see these familiar bear sign last through the 21st century. Not sure how many of these still grace the roadside these days.
Check out the roadside bear at Vodie's Wheel Alignment in Garden Grove. I can vouch first hand that the owner is very friendly and has taken very good care of this bear sign.
Bear Wheel Check out this vintage sign for the Bear Wheel in Corona, CA. This golden bear looks rather proud of his place on this sign and the paint looked recently redone.
