Here's a shot of Lim's Cafe in Redding. This sign really sets itself up nicely at night. Lim's originally opened as Kim Sing restaurant back in 1933. The place is well known for it sign with the big swooping red arrow that lights up quite well.

Owl Cafe
Cloverdale, CA

The Owl Cafe in Cloverdale features an owl sign outside of the building. Check this sign out, it's a hoot. The Owl Cafe building dates back to 1929 with food serving beginning in the 1930's. Originally named the Sunset Motel and Ivy Cafe, the Owl Cafe at one point was a 24 hour operation.

 

UPDATE 03/16 : The Owl Cafe closed down in early 2016. 07-16

UPDATE 07/16 : The former Owl Cafe is soon to be reopened as Keith's Firehouse BBQ in September. 07-16

Here's the Granada Cafe located in San Francisco, CA. This restaurant serves Italian fare and is a throwback in time. Word is that the restaurant closed its doors in 2009. 10-09
