More googie motels and signs from the Southern California area can be found here.
Bahia Motel (Demolished)
Montebello, CA Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
The Bahia Motel is a fine looking googie sign found off the main street in Montebello. Unfortunately, the Bahia Motel and sign is long gone. See Roadside Peek's feature on the Bahia Motel.
Pink Motel Photo courtesy Adriene Biondo
Here's a shot of the Pink Motel along San Fernando Rd. This motel
is right next to what was once known as Buddy's
Diner.
Many thanks to Adriene Biondo for photo and info.
Oasis Motel

Check out this shot of the Oasis Motel. This Oasis has a cactus
on its marquee top.
Astro Motel
Pasadena, CA Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
This Astro Motel looks like a launching pad for space ships and
rocket. Check out those huge fins on the car port.
Cloud 9 Motel
Buena Park, CA Photo courtesy Georg Balandran
The Cloud 9 Motel features a couple of 3 leaf clovers on its marquee.
Or perhaps they're clouds? Either way, it makes for a unique looking sign.
Magic Carpet Motel (Gone)
Anaheim, CA Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
The Magic Carpet Motel sports a genie that actually glows at night.
Unfortunately, this genie no longer glows. The sign was removed during
the Disneyland Resort expansion.
711 Motel
Buena Park, CA Photo courtesy Georg Balandran
The 711 Motel and travel trailer park is an old sign in the Orange
County area of Southern California. Though the marquee sign itself is
somewhat nondescript, the colors on this sign stand out.
Waite Motel (Gone)
Long Beach, CA Photo courtesy Georg Balandran
The Waite Motel is a good looking sign that still has its neon
sign intact. Not sure that this is a googie sign but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
UPDATE 08/13 : Unfortunately the Waite Motel sign has been gone for years. 08-13
