Although Route 66 passes through just a tip of Kansas, the Galena Motel in Galena stands on guard ready to take on any weary travelers for the night.
Along the old road is this sight in Galena, Kansas.
This old historic bridge was recently renovated and was once used as part of the main 66 thoroughfare.
The Palace Drug in Galena features some fantastic ghost signage on its wall. Imagine the day when the paint was still wet and business was bustling... a time before Route 66 was bypassed when cars passed through town, one after another.

After passing through Galena, you'll come to Baxter Springs and the Murphey's Restaurant.
Towards the end of the Kansas trek, you'll encounter an old grocery store before you reach the Oklahoma border.
