Englert Theatre

Check out the Englert Theatre in downtown Iowa City. The Englert originally opened on September 26, 1912. In 1999, the Englert was closed down with intentions of being turned into a bar. Eventually, with the support of the community, the Englert reopened in 2004 to live performances. More information can be found at the Englert Theatre website. 10-08

State Theatre

Here is the marquee at the State Theatre in Larned, KS. According to the theatre's Facebook page, the theatre is "owned by the community and operated completely by volunteers.".
