up on the mountaintop and watch out for the high winds and power outages!

Check out this look at the Casa del Desierto Harvey House, located off of Route 66 in Barstow, CA. The Casa del Desierto was the fourth Harvey House operated by the Fred Harvey Company and was a bustling rail depot, restaurant, and hotel complex. According to the Route 66 Museum website, the Route 66 "Mother Road" Museum was dedicated here on July 4, 2000. 09-10
