Here's an interesting looking bowling alley marquee from Tracy, CA. It's always good to see alleys with the traditional bowl script.
Over in Pacifica, California is the Sea Bowl. The interesting front facade looks part navy ship, part deco, and part dept store.
Check out the old marquee for Felton Bowl. The coffee shop is open daily so stop by for a quick couple of games and a cup of coffee. UPDATE 06/05 : The Felton Bowl is no longer around as it was torn down a few years ago. 06-05
Here's a good looking marquee for Mel's Bowl. Here's a shot of the Restaurant signage at the bowling alley. Pacific Bowl This marquee for the Pacific Bowl in Stockton still lights up the sky with it multicolors.
This bowling alley and marquee for the Capitol Bowl is still in service. Unfortunately most of the old roadside motel nearby had its signage replaced with backlit plastic in recent years. The Capitol Bowl was called the El Rancho Bowl back in the day. UPDATE 09/03 : This marquee for the Capitol Bowl located off West Capitol has been replaced by ... a backlit plastic sign. 03-09
This huge bowling pin advertises the Cardinal Bowl in Sacramento. UPDATE 08/05 : Cardinal Lanes, the bowling alley in North Sacramento, has been closed for years. Many thanks to Dave for update. 08-05
Here's the Country Club Lanes in Sacramento, CA. This bowling alley is part of the Country Club Centre which is on Watt Ave. and has a bowling alley, hofbrau, Tower Records, and other shops. The bowling alley has that space age look to it. The alley is open 24 hours a day and features a live DJ and glow-in-the-dark bowling 7 days a week, becoming a fun and available stop. 11-05
