Other Roadside Signage Northern California

Redwood City, CA

Dick & Dales in another old roadside business that appears to have been in business for years. This place features a large vintage sign facing the main street. Unfortunately, Dick & Dales is now closed and a "for lease" sign now graces the building. Another roadside delight has met its end.

The Stella Pastry looks like it sits outside someone's residence.

The Little City Market features a fine selection of meats, or at least that's what the formerly neon sign outside states.

The Valley Inn in Escalon has a glowing marquee with a yellow swooping arrow pointing to its "on off sale".

Check out this old marquee for the House of Wigs. Doesn't this place remind you of an old downtown shopping area. Can even imagine the smell of popcorn and candy wafting from a neighboring Woolworths.

UPDATE 07/07 : Here's another photo of the House of Wigs as it goes through a going out of business sale. 07-07

Camera Corner

This sign for the Camera Corner was recently removed but is supposed to be restored and put back up.

The glass on this neon still look ok, so the lack of nighttime neon on this sign for the American Poultry Co. may be more of a store decision than anything else.
