Here is a photo of the Skylark Motel located in Riverside,
CA. Notice the 60's neon and the 70's backlit plastic sign that says "Jacuzzi",
that appears to have been added later.
Sunset Palms Motel (Remodeled)

The Sunset Palms Motel is a nicely neon 'd marquee that's right on Sunset Blvd.
UPDATE : The Sunset Palms marquee is now in danger due to new ownership
of this motel. According to the manager of the Sunset Palms, the new owners
plan to remove the sign, or leave the vertical 'motel' part of the sign
and put a new name up.
