Located within minutes of the Burbank Airport, the Safari Inn features a marquee that's famous in the San Fernando Valley. 10-05
Check out this sign for the El Rio Motel in Glendale. The deep colors just seem to make this sign more eye catching. San Bernardino Motel Here is a photo of the San Bernardino Motel located in San Bernardino along Foothill Blvd on a stretch of Route 66. Notice the space age small fin at the top of the sign pointing visitors to stay at the motel.
Here's an old marquee still left from Hollywood's mid-century glory days. The Saharan Motel's sign stands tall along the busy boulevard.
The El Rey Motel still survives along Route 66 in Fontana. Check out this marquee as you travel down the Mother Road.
Check out the roadside sign for the Heritage Motel in Sherman Oaks.
Check out this shot of the Ranch Motel in Garden Grove. This is one of the few surviving signs left in the area.
Here's the Astro Motel, one of the remaining sentinels of a chain of space age named motels from a prior era. This Astro Motel still features the original marquee style.

Redlands, CA is home to the Dutch Motel. Check out this roadside sign for the Dutch; a simple sign but an example of an old motor court sign. . The neon lettering on this marquee may or may not still glow off the roadside at night.
