Here's an interesting example of a sign. This marquee for the West Lake Plaza looks like Speed Racer's Mach 5.
Here are a couple of cool old shopping center signs standing tall over their strip mall distant cousins.
The tall Para-Lamo shopping center sign towers over traffic at the intersection of Paramount and Del Amo in Bellflower. Well, used to. The Para-Lamo sign was taken down recently and a CVS drug store has been built in its place.
Check out this old sign for the Buena Park Mall. The tall sign and the old lettering date back many years. Update : The BPM sign has been replaced with a newer one for the remodeled shopping center.
Check out the Norwalk Square sign for a shopping center in Norwalk. The huge sign looks like some sort of fountain or space age filament reaching up to the heavens.
The Country Club marquee is fairly plain, but has familiar bulb like end points protruding at the top.
