The tall Para-Lamo shopping center sign towers over traffic at the intersection of Paramount and Del Amo in Bellflower. Well, used to. The Para-Lamo sign was taken down recently and a CVS drug store has been built in its place.

Many shopping centers marquees like this one for the Valley Plaza were built with the use of multiple pillars, space age looking cross centers, and balanced leg beams. The Valley Plaza sign looks like it has two legs and is about to walk away. This is a googie sign at its best.
