The Town House Motel in Las Cruces, NM is a roadside treasure still found along the main boulevard.
Here's a shot of the marquee for the Balboa Motel in Deming, New Mexico. This sign displays a pronounced shape and hole in the marquee.
Roswell, NM is well known for its space aliens... and cranes? Well, maybe this crane is an extraterrestrial. Well, this marquee for the Crane Motel is quite an eye-catcher no matter the crane's origin.
Another one of the old Whiting Bros signs can be found off the road. Once upon a time, Whiting Bros. gas stations and motels were a common sight along the old road.
The Butterfield Stage Motel features a great animated neon display which catches the eye of roadside travelers both by day and night. This motel is named after the Butterfield Overland Stagecoach line, which ran nearby to Deming back before the Civil War.
Here's one of Gallup's great signs, the Lariat Lodge, that can be seen right off of the Mother Road.
This marquee is for the Log Cabin Lodge in Gallup, New Mexico. This roadside motel off of Route 66 has been vacant for many years after holding the distinction of being a motor court with actual log cabin lookalikes for motel rooms.
