Check out this old sign for the De Anza Motor Lodge from 20 years ago. The old neon used to look great back in the day when the motel was still in business. The motel was built back in 1939 and was a rather famous Albuquerque roadside motel until its demise in the early 2000's. After being purchased by the City of Albuquerque, , the buildings were demolished though the sign remains.
The motel and sign received some publicity as the site of some of the scenes in the hit TV show Breaking Bad. In speaking with an employee of the site , word is the property housed several famous art work. The property is supposed to be redeveloped in the future. 11-20
